Snorkeling in Gosong Muaras, Berau District, East Kalimantan Province

Though, no trees and facilities are available in the location. That means they should apply sunblock cream to their skin in order to get burnt by the heat of the sun at noon. Carrying snacks and bottled water is also recommended, actually.

How to Get There
As mentioned earlier, Gosong Muaras is located near to Kakaban Island. First, travelers need to head to Balikpapan City by airplane. Next, they must head to Berau District and rent a boat in Tanjung Batu Port. The first destination is Derawan Island and tourists can take another boat to Kakaban. It is the prime checkpoint, where they can rent snorkel gears or rent a room for resting. In the next day, they can rent a boat and head to Gosong Muaras during the low tide.
